After years in the trenches of project and portfolio management — trying to keep multimillion-pound programs on track while wrangling disconnected tools, clunky systems, and siloed teams — the founder realised something troubling:
Projects rarely fail on delivery day. They fail silently through the budget.
And no tool out there was truly built to stop that.
So with an itching curiosity and obsession to find a solution, the ProjectFiles solution was conceived and the dream to build the solution he wished he had began.
This began as a side project, tested in real PMO environments, refined with real feedback, and battle-proven in high-stakes delivery cycles. Not theory. Not guesswork. Real-world, real pain, real results.
It all began with listening — to the frustrations of project managers and their executives struggling to stay ahead of budgets, resources, forecasts, and reports. From hand-built Excel workarounds and VBA automations to the first lines of code in .NET 3.3, and eventually designing smart, intuitive dashboards with Angular — this journey has always been about solving real problems. What started as a response to urgent challenges has evolved into a mission: to remove the chaos from project delivery and give PMs the clarity, control, and confidence they deserve.
